LyX 2.1.0 beta 1 released

Development moved to the beta phase which basically means we will no more include new features and focus on polishing the current ones. We are thus grateful for any feedback you sent us regarding the bugs you encounter while testing the beta release. Except trying new features this is also good time to check that your favorite old files works with the new release as expected. LyX 2.1.0 will be culmination of more than two and half years of hard work and you can find an overview of the new features here. Please note that this release is for testing purposes only, users are encouraged to use current 2.0 stable release for any serious work. Source tarballs and binaries can be found at our ftp server. NOTE 1 (for Autotools users): "make check/distcheck" still fails for this beta release. This means that there will be difficulties to install on platforms that require these checks to pass before installing. NOTE 2 (for Linux/CMake users): If some of the dependencies of the test suite are not satisfied, CMake might not be able to generate the project files. To fix this problem, remove the following line from "CMakeLists.txt": add_subdirectory(development/autotests "/autotests")
